HISTORY

· Developed in the province that is home to the Philippines' oldest city, Cebu. The Mercedes Plantation Golf &          Country Club is a sugarcane plantation with an 18-hole golf course.

· Frankie Minoza, a well-known Filipino golfer, designed the par 72 Mercedes Plantation Golf and Country Club. This is an all-weather golf course that can be played in any weather because it has a computerized irrigation system that keeps the greens and fairways in excellent condition.

· Mercedes Plantation Golf and Country Club is a private golf club, so visitors must be accompanied by a member to play.

· Although the course is on flat terrain with large greens, the strong wind from the sea and water hazards could cause issues.

· Tifdwarf grass covers the greens, while Tifton 419 covers the fairways and some rough areas. Some of the greens have bunkers beside and behind them. The greens and fairways are kept in good condition by a computerized irrigation system.

· The golf course features a pro shop and tee houses along the fairway. Driving range, putting green for practice The clubhouse features a pro shop, restaurant, bar, function room, and male and female locker and shower facilities.

· Dayhagon, Medellin, Cebu is home to the Mercedes Plantation Golf and Country Club. It is 100 kilometers northwest of Cebu City.

 

TO GET THERE

· From Manila, domestic airlines have daily flights to Mactan-Cebu International Airport which takes about 1 hour & 15 minutes by car, bus, or van-hire from SM City Cebu on cemented road all the way to the club.

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

·  Any mandatory additional fees, such as caddie fees, buggy fees, and so on, that are not included in the product must be paid directly to the Mercedes Plantation Golf and Country Club.

· Golf club rules and local rules apply, and golfers must follow them, including but not limited to dress code, rules of play, and producing a valid handicap certificate. In the event that these requirements are not met, the golf club reserves the right to refuse or restrict play.

· In any services within the premises must have a legal action from the head department of the field.

· Any equipment that belongs to this institution must have proper agreement or notice from the office or staff that holds the equipment premises.

· Players who bring outsiders must have the following documents to present; valid ID (if no ID present any official document from the government like a birth certificate, voters ID, or any clearance.

· For a player who wants to be part or member of the club, proceed directly to the office of the registration for proper query and issuance of a membership card.

Medellin is home to Queens Island Golf and Village. If shopping is on the agenda, visit San Remigio Public Market and Tambongon Public Market. This building is just near the site of the golf field. It is adjacent to Hole No. 11. The club is 10 to 20 kilometers away from hotels and resorts.
